Whether it’s a rap beef or just a crazy fan, that type of attention doesn’t escape someone in the music industry. Celebrities need the extra protection in order to navigate through these treacherous waters. Here are five celebrities who’ve survived murder attempts:

50 Cent

Everyone who’s in this style of music knows what happened before he got big with his first major album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.” In 2000, an unknown assailant shot him nine times right outside of his grandmother’s place in Queens. It took him over five months to recover from his injuries.

George Harrison

Liverpool native Michael Abram jumped Harrison’s fence in 1999 and ended up breaking through the window where Harrison and his wife confronted him. Abram stabbed Harrison a few times in the chest then tried to strangle the wife. However, police arrived on the scene and had him arrested.

Madonna

She had multiple encounters with a stalker named Robert Dewey Hoskins. In 1996, he tried to jump over her Hollywood Hills fence and said that either she would marry him or he’d slash her throat. He was immediately shot by her security and taken into custody by the police.

Gordon Ramsay

Apparently, Ramsay was at the right place at the wrong time when he was filming for his show Gordon’s Shark Bait. When he was trying to uncover an illicit shark fin trade, a local gang (who may have been tied to a bigger illegal drug network) confronted him and his crew. The gang poured gasoline on them and held them at gunpoint telling them to stop filming or they’d shoot.

Ryan Seacrest

The police arrested Chidi Uzomah, Jr after looking to stab Ryan Seacrest. He was sentenced to two years in prison and a restraining order for 10 years.
