There’s nothing like a cool mystery to check out especially when it’s animated due to all of the magic and extra things that come along with it. Here are some top mystery animes to watch in your spare time: 

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009-2010)

Here’s the second in the Fullmetal Alchemist series, but the difference is it follows the manga (comic) directly. Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric both take up alchemy and search for the mysterious “Philosopher’s Stone.”

Case Closed (1996-)

This has been a long-running series that’s been going on for nearly 25 years. The story follows Jimmy Kudo who solves different cases and sometimes works with the police.

Mushishi (2005-2006)

A cool and supernatural approach to telling a time between the Edo and Meiji periods. 

Vampire Knight (2008)

Here’s a series that focuses on the main character Yuki whose memory is a bit cloudy as the earliest thing she remembers is being attacked by a rogue vampire and being rescued by a pureblooded vampire. Now, she’s in a bit of limbo because she wants to look into her past. 

Death Note (2006-2007)

This is an action-packed series that features Light Yagami, a prodigy child who stumbles upon a mysterious otherworldly book called the “Death Note.” It grants the user the power to kill anyone named in the book.
