It’s amazing how some mysteries last the test of time. The how, the who, and why all become just a part of the status quo. Here are 6 disturbing mysteries:
The Doodler
During the 1970s, California was a hotbed for different killers. A lesser-known killer was a guy called “The Doodler” because he would sketch his victims before committing the murder. He targeted gay members of San Francisco and ended up murdering 14 people.
Gary Mathias Disappearance
Five people (Gary included) were watching a basketball game on a snowy night in 1978. They headed to a convenience store before driving back home. However, they never made it home. A couple of days later an abandoned car was found, and several months for bodies to be found. Four of them were found, but Gary’s body was still missing.
Kentucky Meat Shower
In 1876, there was a weird weather phenomenon: meat falling from the sky. A couple of people who were brave enough to try it said it tasted like venison. The explanation for this occurrence was that could’ve been buzzards spitting out their prey.

Since 1973, a Russian radio station has been broadcasting this weird buzzing tone. Some people have claimed to hear background voices.
Mr. Cruel
Mr. Cruel is known as a serial rapist throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He’s believed to photograph or videotape some of his crimes. There’s still a $1,000,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
The Roanoke Colony
In 1585, Roanoke Colony was a British attempt to create an establishment in North America. However, this settlement ended up disappearing. When a relief mission went to seek the 116 inhabitants, the only thing found was “CROATOAN” carved into a post.
